It's the 6th of January, and for many of us, it's the first day back to work after the Christmas break. I am sure I am not the only one who woke up in a less-than-enthusiastic mood to be getting back at it.
After time off enjoying the festivities, it always takes us a few days to get back into our routines. It's normal; we should remember that and be kind to ourselves this week.
I am sure many of you have big goals and resolutions for 2025, but you ain't going to nail them overnight, so letting yourself ease into routines and resolutions is a smart move.
Don't try to be a hero this week; that will only lead to frustration and increase the chances that your routines and resolutions will be kicked to the curb before the month is out.
Keep it simple and take small steps for the next few days. Hydrate, clean your food up, move a bit, knock off some work tasks that need to be done and this time next week, you will feel a whole lot different, and then you can start to crank up the intensity and really go after it.
