Earlier this year, I had too many distractions; I was doing pointless things I didn't care about, getting nothing important done, and, quite frankly, not enjoying myself. So, I decided to cut some stuff out and get back to basics.
First, I sorted my diet. I have lost 34 pounds. I stopped eating garbage and made my health a priority.
I hit the gym hard, put cardio on hold apart from walking on a weekend and focused on lifting weights. Now I've got biceps, a bigger chest, and the beginnings of a six-pack.
Work? I was getting soft and toning down my stuff. So I ditched the woolly fluff, returned to a bolder-looking website, went back to Mindset Coaching using The CARE System® and upped my prices.
I also spent way less time on social media. I started only looking at stuff and people that inspired me and stopped following anyone who got on my tits. This had a bigger impact on my happiness than I expected.
The result? Healthier. Happier. More time. Less stress. It was simple: life got better when I focused on what mattered.
So, if you're reading this and you're tired of going around in circles and getting nowhere, you might benefit from a dose of back-to-basics yourself. So here are four things things you should do.
First, sort out your priorities. Decide what matters in your life. Write them down to three to five things max. Everything else is dead weight. Bin them. Just focus on what matters for a few weeks, and watch how fast things start moving.
Second, set your non-negotiables. What must you do daily to stay on top of your game? Gym, work, reflection—whatever it is, make it happen. No excuses. If you can't commit to that, you're not serious about changing anything.
Thirdly, stop saying yes to everything. You're not here to please everyone. Say "no" to anything that doesn't take you nearer where you want to be.
And finally, stay away from dumb stuff online. Any content you consume or people that don't inspire you or make you better should be avoided like the plague.
So, to sum all this up. Going back to basics isn't just some motivational fluff or fad—it's how you take back control, regain your zest for life and stop wasting your time. So, if you're ready to get serious, follow these simple tips. Stop playing around, get focused, and Be A Better YOU.
Take care,
