Move Daily

We all know that exercise is good for us, but many struggle to get into a regular routine. As someone who was later in life to the getting into shape practice, I know it can seem daunting, but it's actually easier than you might think once you change your mindset around it.

My biggest mindset tip is:-

Don't look at it as exercise, think of it as daily movement. It's way easier on your head.

Daily movement does not need to be about hitting the gym or following a workout plan. It's can be about integrating physical activity into your life in a way that supports both your physical and mental health. Here are a few reasons why I move every day and why you should too.

It Boosts Your Mood

Even low-intensity physical activity releases endorphins, the "feel-good" hormones that help reduce stress and improve your mood. Even a 10-minute walk can leave you feeling refreshed and more positive.

It Improves Physical Health

Daily movement strengthens your heart, improves circulation, and helps maintain a healthy weight. It's also a great way to keep your muscles and joints flexible and reduce the risk of chronic illnesses.

You Will Have More Focus

Movement increases blood flow to the brain, which can improve focus, memory, and creativity. It's a simple way to combat brain fog and stay sharp throughout the day.

You'll Sleep Better

Regular movement helps regulate your body's natural sleep-wake cycle, making it easier to fall asleep and enjoy sound rest. Just avoid vigorous activity right before bed, well, most of it, lol.

It Fits Into Any Lifestyle

Daily movement doesn't have to mean structured exercise. Walking, gardening, taking the stairs, or playing with your kids all count. Find what works for you and make it part of your routine.

By making daily movement a habit, you invest in your overall well-being, and it's an investment with a great ROI. Start simple and small; a short 15-20 minute walk, some stretches, or even a few press-ups can make a big difference. Remember, consistency is more important than intensity.

What I found is once it became a daily habit, the intensity went up, and I was open to a more structured exercise routine that now is all about weight training and hiking up big hills. But it all started with a walk around the block.

So get moving and feel the benefits in every part of your life!
